Version 1.8 of the free Duck Hook Golf app adds six money games: Wolf, Banker, Hammer, Snake, Scotch and Bingo Bango Bongo. That makes 31 formats, every one of them free. We also rebuilt the round screen around the hole you’re on, so the Wolf’s pick or a thrown hammer goes in with one tap. Here’s what’s new.
In our last update, these six were scored only in Duck Hook Pro. They’re in the free app now, and each one has a full rules guide if you want the fine print before you try it on your group.
Ten games are still scored only in Duck Hook Pro: Horse Race, Acey Deucey, High-Low, Flags, Rabbit, Sixes, Murphy, Wad, Dots and Yellow Ball.
The hole you’re playing now sits at the bottom of the screen, right by your thumb: the hole, its par and yardage, and arrows to the next hole and the last. That bar is also where each game asks its question. The Wolf’s pick, the bets against the banker, a thrown hammer, a three-putt, Scotch’s closest ball and the bingo, bango and bongo all go in there, with a tap, on the hole where they happened.

The older games moved onto the bar too. The Howard Vegas two-pair roll used to be a pop-up over the round; now it’s taken or turned down right there. Defender shows who defends the hole, and Tilt shows who’s riding a multiplier into it.
A hole where the whole group made par is now one tap: Everyone Made Par saves it for everybody. It only fills in golfers who don’t have a score yet, so it never writes over one somebody else just put in.
Conceding moved behind a swipe. The Concede button used to sit under every golfer on every hole, making each row taller for something most rounds never use. Now you swipe the golfer’s row to the left to bring it in, and tap it. It’s there in every game that allows conceding.
No signal on the back nine? The calls queue up with your scores and go in when you’re back in range, the same way scores always have. More on scoring without service.
Open a round’s results and the first line is yours: what you’re owed, or what you owe. Your own payments are at the top of the list, with a Venmo button beside each, so you’re not scrolling past everybody else’s debts to find yours.

31 formats, the new round screen, presses, side bets and every course. No ads, no paid tier for players. Update or download and set up your first game in under a minute.
